Description

Gandalf the Grey (PLTR-207s foil) is a Legendary Creature — Avatar Wizard printed as a promo in Tales of Middle-earth. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, its triggered ability lets you choose an unused mode from tapping/untapping a permanent, dealing 3 damage to each opponent, copying an instant or sorcery you control, or putting Gandalf on top of its owner's library. The mode-choosing is tracked per object so if Gandalf leaves and returns it can have those modes chosen again, and you must choose modes when the ability goes on the stack with targets available for target-requiring modes.
