About this expansion
Scarlet & Violet (sv1), released 2023-03-30, is the core base set that launched Pokémon TCG support for Generation IX’s Paldea region. The set contains the first TCG appearances of Gen IX Pokémon along with a suite of Trainer and Item cards themed to Paldea that formed the foundation for early Scarlet & Violet deckbuilding. Collectors and players pay attention to the set’s variety of art variants and higher‑rarity cards, including full‑art and promo treatments that accompany key Pokémon and Trainer cards in the initial Gen 9 rollout.
