While attached, it reduces damage done to that Pokémon by attacks by 10 (after applying Weakness and Resistance) unless the Pokémon isn’t Metal. This card is typically used to soften incoming damage on Metal-type attackers or Metal-supporting Pokémon that can legally hold Special Energy.
