Rare Candy (ex9-83) is a Trainer—Item card from the EX Emerald expansion that speeds up evolution. Its rule lets you choose one of your Basic Pokémon in play and immediately put a Stage 1 or Stage 2 card that evolves from it from your hand onto that Pokémon, counting as an evolution. This card is typically used to bypass the usual Stage progression to enable stronger attackers or abilities sooner in a match.
