Kellan, the Kid (OTJ-213) is a legendary creature — Human Faerie Rogue from Outlaws of Thunder Junction. It has flying and lifelink and a triggered ability that lets you cast a permanent spell from your hand for free (with equal or lesser mana value) whenever you cast a spell from somewhere other than your hand, or alternatively put a land from your hand onto the battlefield. The card’s ability interacts with replacement rules for X and split cards and allows paying additional costs but not alternative costs when casting the free spell.
