Ayara, First of Locthwain (MUL-143 foil) is a Legendary Creature — Elf Noble from the Multiverse Legends expansion. It causes opponents to lose life and you to gain life when it or other black creatures enter the battlefield, and can be tapped and sacrificed with another black creature to draw a card. It is frequently used in black sacrifice or 'aristocrat' style decks for recurring card advantage and incremental drain.
