Recoil (DMR 197 foil) is an uncommon instant from Dominaria Remastered that returns a target permanent to its owner's hand and then forces that player to discard a card. It combines tempo disruption with card disadvantage for the bounced player, making it useful for removing key threats while also potentially cycling through opponents' hands. In deckbuilding it fits control and tempo shells that can afford blue-black mana and want single-target interaction rather than permanent removal.
