It enters with ten ice counters and has an activated ability to remove counters, and when it has no ice counters you sacrifice it to create Marit Lage, a legendary 20/20 flying indestructible token. As a slow-value land it is typically used in combo or ramp strategies that accelerate counter removal to produce the token.
