It has two activated abilities that exile the top card of your library and allow you to play that card this turn, with the second ability letting you play it without paying its mana cost once the artifact has three or more brick counters. The first ability adds a brick counter whenever used, enabling a build-up strategy to reach the free-cast effect while still providing repeatable card advantage or selection.
