Check for Traps (AFR 92, Foil) is a black sorcery from the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set. It lets you force an opponent to reveal their hand, choose a nonland card from it, and exile that card with a conditional life-loss clause depending on whether the exiled card was an instant or had flash. The effect is a disruptive hand-interaction tool that can remove key answers or win conditions while imposing a small life tradeoff for non-instant targets.
