It can only be played by discarding a Darkness Pokémon from your hand and its effect removes a Pokémon Tool or Special Energy from one of your opponent's Pokémon or discards the Stadium in play. Because it requires discarding a Darkness Pokémon as a cost, it is best leveraged in decks that can afford to send Darkness Pokémon from hand to the discard pile.
