Play Root Fossil as if it were a Basic Pokémon. While in play, Root Fossil counts as a Colorless Pokémon (instead of a Trainer card). Root Fossil (ex2-92) is an Item Trainer card from Sandstorm that you may play as if it were a Basic Colorless Pokémon. While in play it has no attacks, cannot retreat or be affected by Special Conditions, and you may discard it at any time before your attack. It has a Poké-Body that heals 1 damage counter between turns, and if Knocked Out it is discarded but does not count as a Knocked Out Pokémon.
