Piplup (pop9-16, Common) is a Basic Water Pokémon from POP Series 9 illustrated by Midori Harada. It has two attacks: Water Sport, which does 10+ damage when Piplup has fewer Energy than the Defending Pokémon, and Wavelet, which deals 40 damage and can also deal 10 to each of the opponent's Benched Pokémon if Buizel is in play. Low retreat cost and its Buizel-triggered bench damage make it a useful early attacker that benefits from specific pairing.
