Charizard ex (sv3-223 Holofoil) is a Stage 2 Darkness-type Pokémon ex with the Tera subtype printed in the Obsidian Flames expansion. It has the Infernal Reign Ability that lets you search for up to three Basic Fire Energy and attach them when you evolve it from hand, and an attack, Burning Darkness, that gains 30 damage for each Prize card your opponent has taken. The card is played as a high-risk, high-reward attacker because ex Pokémon give your opponent two Prize cards when Knocked Out and this one can become much stronger as prizes are taken.
