{2}, {T}: Put a mire counter on target non-Swamp land. That land is a Swamp for as long as it has a mire counter on it. Activate only during your upkeep. When this artifact is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, at the beginning of each of your upkeeps for the rest of the game, remove all mire counters from a land that a mire counter was put onto with this artifact but that a mire counter has not been removed from with this artifact.

Cyclopean Tomb (2ED 241) is a Rare artifact from Unlimited Edition that can put mire counters on non-Swamp lands to make them Swamps. For {2}, {T} during your upkeep you put a mire counter on a target non-Swamp land, and when the Tomb dies it creates a delayed trigger that removes one of those counters from a previously affected land at each of your upkeeps for the rest of the game. The presence of mire counters independently makes lands Swamps while they remain on them, and the delayed ability ensures those counters are periodically removed even after the artifact leaves the battlefield.
