The Countering Runner (RU05b) is a legendary Merfolk Gamer creature from the Unknown Event expansion. It reduces the additional cost of spells that would counter a spell by {U}{U} and triggers card draw plus 2 psychic damage to that spell's controller whenever an opponent's spell is countered by your effect. It also has the Ready to run ability allowing it to function alongside another commander that shares that keyword.
