It requires paying {R}{R} and discarding X cards at random as an additional cost to cast, then makes each player sacrifice X lands of their choice and deals X damage to each creature. The effect can be used as a land- and board-wiping tool that scales with the discarded X and can impact both opponents and your own resources.
