Whenever it enters or attacks, you may return up to one target Vampire card from your graveyard to the battlefield with a finality counter on it and you lose life equal to that card's mana value. Its returned permanents are exiled if they would die, letting the card enable tempo swings by briefly reusing key Vampires at the cost of life.
