Singer of Swift Rivers (LCC-98) is a rare Merfolk Shaman creature from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander. It has flash, gives another target creature a shield counter when it enters the battlefield, and lets you cast Merfolk spells as though they had flash. Its role in a deck is to provide surprise defense and enable reactive Merfolk plays by granting instant-speed casting to other Merfolk spells.
