Gandalf the Grey (LTR-322) is a legendary Avatar Wizard from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, choose an unchosen mode that can tap or untap a permanent, deal 3 damage to each opponent, copy an instant or sorcery you control, or put Gandalf on top of its owner's library. The once-per-mode restriction while it remains on the battlefield rewards building around repeated instant and sorcery interactions and sequencing of effects.
