If you don't play a card from exile that turn, its end step triggers create a tapped Powerstone token which taps for colorless mana that can't cast nonartifact spells. The card supports a ritual of card advantage and incremental mana generation, enabling either extra play options or token-based ramp in decks that can use its colorless mana effectively.
