Smelting Vat (BRC-18) is a rare Artifact from The Brothers' War Commander expansion. By paying one, tapping, and sacrificing another artifact you reveal the top eight cards of your library and may put up to two noncreature artifacts among them with combined mana value no greater than the sacrificed artifact's onto the battlefield. It fits into artifact-centric decks that can produce sacrificial fodder to cheat additional artifacts into play.
