It prevents all combat damage that would be dealt to your attacking artifact creatures and lets you draw a card once each turn whenever one or more artifact creatures enter under your control. As a white three-mana legendary with creature type and card-drawing support, it naturally slots into artifact-focused aggressive or value-oriented decks and can serve as a commander in mono-white artifact builds.
