Shunt (10E 233, foil) is a red instant from Tenth Edition that changes the target of a single-target spell on the stack. When it resolves you pick a new legal target for that spell, and it can make a spell target another spell on the stack as long as the spell has exactly one target. Its niche is defensive or disruptive play, letting you redirect problematic spells to a harmless target or onto another spell to alter the stack.
