When it enters the battlefield it puts a +1/+1 counter on target creature, and its Renew ability lets you pay {3}{G} and exile it from your graveyard to put a +1/+1 counter on a creature and then double that creature’s +1/+1 counters. Its roles include early board support and a late-game pump engine by multiplying counters on a key creature.
