When it enters the battlefield it exiles the top card of your library and lets you play that card until the end of your next turn, enabling temporary card advantage or a surprise play. It also has Flurry: whenever you cast your second spell each turn, Equilibrium Adept gains double strike until end of turn, making it a potent midrange threat when paired with decks that can reliably chain spells.
