If Abzan is chosen, it places a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control at your end step; if Mardu is chosen, it triggers at your end step to force each opponent to sacrifice a creature if one of your creatures died that turn. The card supports midrange or token strategies by either growing your board or punishing opponent boards after creature attrition.
