Torrent Sculptor // Flamethrower Sonata (STX 331, Rare) is a modal double-faced card from Strixhaven that is a blue Merfolk Wizard creature on the front and a red sorcery on the back. The creature has Ward {2} and enters the battlefield exiling an instant or sorcery from your graveyard to put half its mana value, rounded up, as +1/+1 counters on itself. The back face discards then draws, and if you discard an instant or sorcery it deals damage equal to that card’s mana value to a target opponent’s creature or planeswalker.
