Torrent Sculptor // Flamethrower Sonata (STX-159) is a modal double-faced card from Strixhaven combining a blue Merfolk Wizard creature front with a red sorcery back. The front has Ward {2} and an enters-the-battlefield ability that exiles an instant or sorcery from your graveyard and puts +1/+1 counters on the creature equal to half that card’s mana value rounded up. The back is a one‑red sorcery that has you discard then draw, and if you discarded an instant or sorcery it deals damage equal to that card’s mana value to a target creature or planeswalker you don’t control.
