Semester's End is a white instant. It exiles any number of creatures and/or planeswalkers you control and returns them at the beginning of the next end step, giving returning creatures an additional +1/+1 counter and giving returning planeswalkers an additional loyalty counter. Because it resolves at instant speed and delays the return to the end step, it can protect permanents from removal and reuse enter-the-battlefield effects.
