It has an attack trigger that lets you pay 1 and discard a card to draw a card, and a discard-triggered ability that can exile a discarded nonland card so you may cast it that turn. The card supports graveyard/recast synergies by enabling casting of exiled cards after discarding, allowing loop or value plays in discard-focused decks.
