Tainted Pact (STA-96 etched foil) is a black Instant reprinted in the Strixhaven Mystical Archive. Its effect repeatedly exiles the top card of your library and lets you take the first exiled card that doesn’t share a name with another exiled this way, stopping if you exile two cards with the same name. It serves as a tutor-like card selection tool that can dig multiple cards deep but can also fail to find a card if duplicates appear.
