As it enters the battlefield you may choose a nonland permanent; the chosen permanent’s activated abilities can’t be activated while this creature is in play and Scheming Fence gains all of that permanent’s activated abilities except loyalty abilities. The card also lets you spend mana as though it were mana of any color to activate the gained activated abilities, enabling flexible utility in decks that want to reuse useful activation effects.
