As it enters, you may choose a nonland permanent; activated abilities of that chosen permanent can't be activated while it is chosen, and Scheming Fence gains all of its activated abilities (except loyalty ones), allowing you to spend mana as though it were any color to activate them. This card serves as a toolbox piece that can copy and use another permanent's activated effects while also shutting them off on the original object.
