Its activated ability lets you pay 1, tap it, and sacrifice a creature to count that creature's colors, then search your library for a creature card with exactly one more color, exile it, and you may cast it immediately; the ability can only be activated as a sorcery. The card enables color-counting toolbox strategies and can turn sacrificed creatures into higher-color-value threats on demand.
