Death Baron (ALA-70) is a rare black Creature — Zombie Wizard from the Shards of Alara set. It gives your Skeletons and other Zombies +1/+1 and deathtouch, letting small creatures become effective blockers and removal on attack. In tribal decks it functions as a lord that both buffs power/toughness and grants a dangerous combat keyword to those creature types.
