Brilliant Ultimatum (ALA-159) is a rare sorcery from the Shards of Alara expansion. It exiles the top five cards of your library, an opponent separates them into two piles, and you may play lands and cast spells from one chosen pile without paying their mana costs, subject to normal timing and other play restrictions. As a very high-cost, three-color finisher it typically appears in late-game roles for control or combo decks that want immediate access to multiple cards.
