Memory Lapse (7ED #88, Foil) is a blue instant from Seventh Edition that counters a target spell. If countered this way, the spell is put on top of its owner's library instead of going to their graveyard. It serves as tempo denial by both removing the spell and forcing the opponent to draw it next, interacting notably with flashback which changes the destination to exile.
