Marchesa, the Black Rose (SLD-1452) is a legendary Human Wizard creature from the Secret Lair Drop set available as a normal variant. It grants Dethrone to itself and your other creatures and creates a delayed return effect that brings creatures with +1/+1 counters back to the battlefield at the next end step when they die. As a four-mana, three-power three-toughness multicolored commander staple, it encourages aggressive attacks to place counters and a sacrifice/recursion strategy that benefits from creatures dying with counters.
