Delay (SLD-1788) is a blue Instant from the Secret Lair Drop set that counters a target spell and exiles it with three time counters instead of sending it to the graveyard. If exiled this way, the spell gains suspend and its controller removes a time counter on each of their upkeeps until they may cast it without paying its mana cost when the last counter is removed. The effect can change when and whether that spell resolves later, allowing for tempo swings or denying immediate answers.
