Blood Lust (REN-75) is a red instant from Renaissance that modifies a target creature’s power and toughness until end of turn. It gives +4 power and reduces toughness by either 4 or by an amount that sets the creature’s new toughness to 1 if the creature’s toughness was less than 5. The effect can create lethal toughness loss on large creatures or push smaller creatures to a 4/1-like state, making it useful both offensively and for finishing trades.
