It has Devour 2, entering with +1/+1 counters equal to twice the creatures sacrificed, and at the beginning of your upkeep it creates a 1/1 green Saproling token for each +1/+1 counter on it. Its role is as a scalable midrange threat that can either grow large by sacrificing creatures or generate a steady stream of Saprolings for board presence and token synergies.
