Venarian Glimmer (PLC 52) is an uncommon instant from the Planar Chaos expansion. It reveals a target player’s hand and lets you choose a nonland card with mana value X or less for that player to discard. The spell’s X in the cost lets you scale the maximum mana value you can force them to discard, enabling both low-cost disruption or a higher-cost strike if you pay more.
