Artifact Mutation (NCC-326) is a red-green instant from the New Capenna Commander expansion. It destroys a target artifact and then creates X 1/1 green Saproling creature tokens, where X equals the destroyed artifact’s mana value. The spell specifies the artifact can’t be regenerated and includes a ruling that it’s countered with no Saprolings if the artifact is an illegal target on resolution.
