It has trample and a death-return trigger that returns it to the battlefield if it dealt combat damage to a player this turn, and it also has Blitz {4}{B} to optionally give haste and a draw-on-death effect while sacrificing it at end step. Its combination of recursion and optional Blitz mode makes it useful as both a recurring attacker and a one-shot value play in black aggressive or sacrifice-oriented decks.
