Tangle Wire (NEM-139) is a rare artifact from Nemesis that enters with four fade counters. At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player taps an untapped artifact, creature, or land they control for each fade counter on Tangle Wire. Its fading mechanic causes it to lose a counter each upkeep and then be sacrificed when no counters remain, creating a temporary global taxing effect.
