Defiant Vanguard (NEM-7) is an uncommon white Creature — Human Rebel from the Nemesis set. When it blocks, it and the creatures it blocked are destroyed at end of combat, and it has an activated ability to tutor a Rebel permanent with mana value 4 or less onto the battlefield for {5} and tap. Its role is defensive and toolbox-oriented, trading itself to neutralize attackers while fetching other Rebels to the battlefield.
