Unexplained Absence (MKC-328) is a white instant from the Murders at Karlov Manor Commander set that exiles up to one nonland permanent controlled by each player. For each permanent exiled this way, that permanent’s controller cloaks the top card of their library onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 with ward {2}, and those cloaked cards can later be turned face up by paying their mana costs if they are creature cards. The card is a four-mana interaction spell that can act as widespread removal while converting removed permanents into cloaked board presence you or opponents must manage.
