It grants Ward {2}, turns your other Clue artifacts into 6/6 Plant creatures at the beginning of each combat until end of turn, and can be sacrificed with {2} to draw a card. Its role is both a combat enabler that temporarily animates Clues and a card-advantage engine via its sacrifice draw ability.
