When it enters the battlefield it drains one opponent for 1 life and gives you 1 life, and it has an activated ability letting you pay 1 and sacrifice a creature to exile it and return it at the next end step. Its blink ability can dodge removal and reuse enter-the-battlefield effects, enabling tempo plays and life-drain triggers while temporarily removing itself from the battlefield.
